A quick guide to the OSRS Barrows minigame – NewsGram

Through Daisy M. Marino

The legend tells the story of six brothers who fought to free Morytania from the reign of the tyrannical Lord Lowerniel Vergidiyad Drakan. They fought bravely and fiercely for years, relying on the equipment a stranger gave them. However, they paid the price with their lives. Their army gave them a proper burial to honor them and quickly withdrew. Now their crypt remains, and you have the option to loot it for their equipment and even OSRS Gold.

These six brothers may be dead, but their fighting prowess has not diminished at all. You will have to prepare well to fight them and get the best rewards from their graves. This is the only way to get Barrow equipment without spending OSRS Gold by purchasing them from the Grand Exchange.

Terms & Conditions

At a minimum, you must have completed “Priest in Peril” and partially completed “Nature Spirit”. The latter, you just have to do enough to access the Morytanie swamp where the graves are located.

Other recommended quests:

  • Fairy tale II

  • In Search of Myrèque

Of course, if you are using a teleporter that takes you straight to the Barrows, you can skip most of the quests as they give you methods of movement. However, you might still want to access Rott’s Burgh Bank and be able to teleport there. It also gives you increased rewards, which you can take advantage of to get more OSRS Gold Sale the additional runes.

The rest of the quests you can do at your discretion.

For levels, here’s a list of what you should have before you complete this challenge:

  • Attack> 70
  • Strength> 70
  • Defense> 60
  • Distance> 61
  • Magic> 75
  • Prayer> 43
  • Agility> 50
  • Building> 81

You can also start the mini-game with lower levels, but it will be more difficult as it may take longer. It could also be more expensive with all the options you end up consuming. With these levels, you can use the most optimized equipment to handle the mini-game in the most efficient way.

If you are going to challenge the Barrows over and over again, the Construction levels can help. This allows you to build various catering items that you can use at home. Establish a method for moving between your house and the graves. This way you can easily eat for the next round.

If you want the most efficiency, here’s what you need to bring:

  • Set of ancestral robes (hat, top, bottom) or Void Knight gear (top, robes, helmet, gloves)
  • Serpentine Helm, Ferocious Gloves, Bandos Chestpiece
  • A divine cloak or infernal cloak
  • Blessing of Rada 4
  • Ava Assembler
  • Primal Boots
  • Berserker ring
  • Tormented Bracelet
  • Anguish Necklace
  • Amulet of torture
  • Sanguinetti stick
  • toxic blowgun
  • Dragon claws
  • Shovel
  • A little gold
  • Super Fighting Potions
  • Ranged potions
  • Teleport home
  • Teleport to Barrows
  • Impregnated heart
  • Runic pouch

Depending on what you have and what you can afford, you can opt for less efficient equipment as long as you know what you are doing. Otherwise, you may need to buy OSRS gold to get some of these items. Some guides also recommend the Abyssal Whip / Tentacle to combat the monsters that roam the tunnels.

Of the six brothers, four use melee, one uses magic, and the last uses distance. This means that you can use Magic effectively on five of the brothers. Melee users can also be safely spotted in a variety of ways, making combat easier.

You have to manage your prayer points, as the faces of the dead brothers appear every 18 seconds while you are in the tunnels. A prayer draining effect accompanies spawns, starting with 8 and increasing by one for each brother defeated.

Due to this mechanic, you should consider in which order to fight the brothers. Dharok, Karil, Verac, and Ahrim will cause issues for players without prayers, so you should consider fighting them first. If you’re wondering why you should kill them all, it’s to increase the potential rewards you can get.

The more monsters you beat, the more potential you get, equal to their combat level. The system caps it at 1000 so you can calculate how many you should kill. Each brother gives 2 points towards the potential, and these ignore the limit. As a result, the maximum potential you can get is 1,012. The higher the potential, the better the rewards!

You’ll also want to be quick, so you won’t have to consume a large chunk of your supplies, but you can still tank the brothers you fight later. Be warned that this mini-game is not safe and you may lose your equipment if you die.

You can get a lot of OSRS Gold by selling the Barrows runes and gear that you won’t be using. Don’t miss the opportunity to get Barrows sets and many high level runes. That’s a lot of chances to win OSRS Gold. Keep enjoying Old School Runescape!
