With recent discussions regarding gambling and real-world trading within the community, we have taken up the rules of the game. First of all, it is crucial to understand what RWT and GoC mean before getting into the data about ourselves to explain.

Real-world trading refers to the buying and selling of RuneScape gold, items, accounts, and other Jagex goods by players in the real world. On the other hand, Games of Chance is a section of game rules that prohibits players from betting on the outcome of games as they depend on luck and resemble real-world gambling.

Despite these strict measures, merchants of virtual goods will continue to operate as gamers create demand for real-world merchants in the first place. If you want to skip the grind part of the game and go straight to the endgame content, look no further than chicksgold.com. They offer the best services for buying OSRS accounts online!

The taking of Jagex

The rules of the game state that Jagex’s objective is to keep OSRS a complete representation of all that Gielinor has to offer. Additionally, real-world item trading, exploiting bugs, scamming, using foul language, botting, tricking others into breaking the rules, and participating in gambling are activities prohibited by Jagex as they directly conflict with Jagex’s RuneScape vision.

According to them, such activities ruin the overall OSRS experience and undermine fair play. Therefore, players with information about possible illegal activities are encouraged to report them to Jagex staff. In addition, anyone caught participating in such acts will be severely punished.

With this article, we will closely expand on the hot topics; relaunch freebies associated with the violation of RWT rules, removing the dueling arena due to the community and publicity of real world merchants and gaming services.

Private gifts

First on our list is hosting and participating in giveaways that allow real-world betting. A ‘re-roll giveaway’ is a private contest in which players pay to participate and have the opportunity to win prizes. Once there are enough participants, the host will randomly choose the winner. Other participants can tip the host with real money to choose another winner as often as they like.

These actions also conflict with the Real World Trading section of the rules. RWT advises that trading RuneScape goods and services will result in a permanent ban on the account in question, as RuneScape items are the exclusive property of Jagex and cannot be

considered the property of the player. Moreover, these gifts require an entrance fee which makes them private; another issue that Jagex finds illegal is re-raising freebies.

Duel Arena removed

Duel Arena was closed in July due to questionable activity that violated Jagex’s terms and conditions. The Duel Arena has always been under the watch of Jagex as many people have exploited its staking potential. This prompted Jagex to introduce a betting limit of 10 million gold. To no one’s surprise, players managed to find a way around this with the help of real-world trading.

Additionally, with the introduction of the PvP Arena, which was meant to counter illegal activities and replace the Dueling Arena, rule-breaking behavior quickly adapted to the new environment and continues to occur.

The main issue Jagex had with the Duel Arena was chucking. By ‘casting’, we mean high-stakes PvP deathmatches in which one player takes on another player, often with the help of a go-between. The stakes placed by the first player are zero if they lose but double if they win.

This concept developed into “community chucking”. A player enters a deathmatch and fights for another player with their gold in play. If the player wins, the other player, who they fought for, will receive double payouts. In addition, the fighting player will receive his share of the profits.

These activities inspired Jagex to ban the Duel Arena as it looks like “commission staking”, which violates the Gambling section. The Gambling section of the Jagex Gaming Rules states that players are not permitted to advertise and participate in in-game gambling. In addition, players organizing such events will also be penalized, regardless matter that they get their share of the gold.

Empty

These restrictions also extend to those who stake and duel through a mediator. Also, staker accounts are not exempt because they violate Real World Trading rules. Additionally, Jagex has increased its restrictions and removed the Duel Arena as commission staking has increased, with more and more users creating staker accounts to perform actions not condoned by Jagex.

Advertising

The last point of this article will cover the advertising of the activities mentioned above and any other activities strictly prohibited by Jagex. This includes promoting any activities that Jagex deems illegal, including real-world trading sites and gambling services.

In the “Advertising Websites” section of the Jagex Game Rules, it is stated that advertising inappropriate websites that promote real-world exchanges, private servers, macros or other forms of cheating, and selling in-game items will be severely punished.

These sites not only encourage the illegal use of Jagex property, but they often lead to players getting ripped off. To find the full list of bannable activities, see the official Jagex Game Rules website.

What do you think about this?

Is Jagex right or should gamers have the option to make games they love more enjoyable to play? What should Jagex do next to prevent users from engaging in activities they deem inappropriate for gaming?

Old School RuneScape troll Liz Truss circulating on Twitter offers the recently resigned British Prime Minister to take another swipe at fixing the economy – but this time, with just a game world at stake instead of an entire country. The game is new new worlds start give potential players like Truss the opportunity to experiment with the MMORPGsof the virtual environment while granting inactive players another reason to return to RuneScape.

After a tumultuous 44 days in which inflation hit record highs, the value of the pound sterling fell to record lows and many key allies quit or quit their senior positions in government, Truss threw the sponge, apparently overtaken by a head of lettuce. Although the country faced economic problems before his brief tenure, a rash financial plan has shattered confidence both in the UK and abroad, with many blaming Truss primarily for the recent economic upheaval.

So it’s only fitting that a video game encourages Truss to try again by inviting him to experiment with economy in his game world, where even the most reckless choices will have no impact beyond a few lines of software code.

“Looking for a fresh start @trussliz?” Old School RuneScape official account tweet begins. “We have a new economy, where you can really make a difference! This catering essential needs a helping hand during this cost of living crisis, it can’t even afford to buy its own ingredients!

The tweet, which also links to an official blog post covering the new worlds of Old School RuneScape, now has over 10,000 likes and over 2,300 retweets.

The joke plays on UK citizens’ fears and worries about the rising costs of everyday items such as food and household items. However, in providing Truss with a fresh start, it ties into the game’s recently introduced Fresh Start worlds, which have no established economies or high scores.

In addition to being fresh, the new starting worlds of Old School RuneScape are functionally the same as the main game. They are meant to invite new players into Old School RuneScape, as inexperienced players may feel intimidated trying to keep up the pace in the worlds alongside those who have been playing the game for a very long time. These fresh start worlds will then transition into the main game of the game in six months, which is four and a half months longer than Truss’ tenure.

The idea is to attract new players and let them explore the game, allowing them to develop and grow at their own pace, which unfortunately Truss was unable to do as Prime Minister of the UK. .

Luckily, you don’t have to be a former prime minister to get started. The blog post provides full setup details and instructions, giving everyone a chance to see if their decisions can destroy an entire economy.

If you can’t wait to get into the game, you can always check out our beginner’s guide to runescape to learn the basics. If you’ve been around for a while, you’ll want to know more about six exciting ways to play RuneScape which you may not already know.

As Old School RuneScape approaching its 10th anniversary, it’s safe to say that while the game receives regular content updates, the core of its gameplay remains unchanged.

What have changed, however, are the innovative ways that OSRS content creators tell stories in-game. Whether it’s complete all quests in the game in their original release orderWhere lock a character in the arid swamp region of the gamethe Runescape The community has no shortage of fascinating series to choose from – and C Engineer’s latest series is no exception.

The Swedish YouTuber’s series took one of the toughest account types in gaming, an “ironman” character that forbids a player from trading with others, and swore to only play on Player vs. Player worlds (PvP). Not only did this mean that C Engineer had to grind for every piece of gear while slaying thousands of monsters himself, but other players could attack his character at any time to steal his hard-earned items.

If that wasn’t enough, C Engineer offered a bounty to the first player to kill him, further hampering his progress through the game by forcing him to be constantly on alert for marauding bounty hunters and teleport. C Engineer even provided his in-game name, letting players know when he logs in and out.

The series started in March 2021 with a brand new account and a bounty of 50 million gold coins (gp). Sixteen months later, and C Engineer is looking for endgame gear and offers crowdfunding bounty of 16 billion gp to his killer.

As a frame of reference, the the most expensive item in the gamewhich can only be obtained by completing rare and difficult treasure hunts in the game, costs around 2.1 billion gp, and that runeplate body you spent your entire childhood chasing only costs 40,000 gp .

Of course, this absurd bounty (and its accompanying infamy) was too much for PvPers to resist. C Engineer has had a number of close calls throughout the series – watch any video from this project and you’ll see the veteran player dodging dozens of attacks from desperate bounty hunters, sometimes escaping with only a few life points to spare.

C Engineer’s luck changed earlier this week when dedicated PKer Westham and his team finally killed their elusive target, claiming the 16 billion gp bounty and ending the Ironman PvP streak after 32 videos.

In his video, Westham shows off his team’s surveillance system for C Engineer and eventually catches him aboard a ship for Zulrah, a popular boss for late-game players to fight for unique weapon drops.

The fight begins with Westham’s team casting a “telelock” spell on C Engineer, preventing him from quickly escaping using teleportation. The victim frantically attempts to fend off his attackers by repeatedly crossing the gangway to and from the ship. He has no chance to retaliate against the party, but if he dodges attacks for ten seconds, he can log out of the game and escape. Unfortunately for him, the attackers catch up to him and ultimately deal 64 damage (about 75% of his total health) in a single hit to earn the kill and the biggest bounty in Runescape the story.

The videos of this fight from both perspectives are worth watching. C Engineer Video puts a great cap on the whole series, which combines knowledge about the game, creative training methods, and even lessons about Swedish culture. And of course, Westham’s video captures the excitement of tracking down that bounty and finally doing what hundreds of others couldn’t.

In the end, it was C Engineer’s dedication to progressing and building his account that killed him. Instead of training non-combat related skills in isolation and disconnecting each time he encountered another player, he continued his quest for the next great piece of gear by battling Zulrah, knowing it might leave him exposed.

C Engineer is just one of Old School RuneScape great storytellers. While this series may be over, there are still innovative ideas from him and other creators that keep the magic of Gielinor alive.

OSRS Quest Speedrunning Launch Date and Time

OSRS Quest Speedrunning launch date and time are Wednesday, October 12 at 11:30 a.m. BST / 03:30 a.m. PT / 06:30 a.m. CEST

OSRS Quest Quick Race Rules

Here are the official OSRS Speedrunning rules straight from the official announcement:

Quest Speedrunning takes place on separate, members-only worlds with different save files.

Here is a little reminder on the differences between the Quest Speedrunning Worlds and the regular ones:

  • No tutorial.
  • No trades – all players are considered Iron accounts.
  • No PvP.
  • No access to Castle Wars, PvP Arena, Fight Pits, Last Man Standing, Rat Pits, Soul Wars or Trouble Brewing.
  • Teleport cooldowns (such as Teleport Home) are paused when logging out, so players can’t log out and wait 30 minutes to regain their teleport and trick the system.
  • Stores have static stock and items never run out.
  • Items can still be sold to stores but will be removed immediately.
  • Items picked up from the ground are player specific, so multiple speedrunners can get the same item without having to worry about competition!
  • Dropped items behave normally, but will be deleted once the speedrun is complete.
  • Death works normally.

Additionally, to discourage quibbling, the following rules apply to players on Speedrunning Worlds which are not in speedrun:

  • XP gain is disabled.
  • Deaths are safe and all items dropped on death are immediately removed. If you die while not speedrunning, you will respawn in Lumbridge with whatever items you had.

How to Get Started – OSRS Quest Speedrunning

Find the official instructions from the same source below:

Step 1

Log into a Quest Speedrunning World and you will immediately be prompted to select the quest you wish to run through the Quest Speedrunning menu.

You will see the following data for the quest you selected:

  • Current speedrun time.
  • Best personal time.
  • World best time.
  • Time required for each trophy (see Rewards section).
  • Unlocks
    • Unlocks are the stats, quests completed, journeys, and other unlocks you will get when starting a speedrun. These unlocks are the same for everyone.
  • Items
    • This section shows the items you will get at the start of the chosen quest. Be aware that the items given are not necessarily the required items – for example, if the quest requires a dagger, you may be given a suitable pickaxe (or the money to buy one) to mine some ore and forge it into the dagger you you need.

After you make your choice, the game will automatically adjust your stats to the recommended levels for your chosen quest and provide all relevant items. This keeps things fair and ensures everyone starts in the same place.

2nd step

The race will begin after you have spoken to the relevant NPC and started the quest – after this point the Speedrun Timer will be checked, and you will be easily taken to the starting point of the quest you have chosen. The timer will automatically stop when the quest is completed or when the speedrun is abandoned, which can be done at any time via the Speedrunning menu. If things go wrong, you can also cancel your current adventure and start over from this same menu – handy! Logging out will pause the timer, but be aware that this will add a few seconds to your time to prevent logging out from becoming a viable strategy.

Your current time is displayed on the Speedrunning menu and the Speedrunning wizard, which appears on screen throughout the race and also displays the time required for the next trophy.

Step 3

Completed Speedrunning and ready for your reward? Head to the NPC near the fountain in Varrock Square to find the Speedrunning Reward Shop! Since they are all non-redeemable, you will be able to recover any rewards you purchase if you accidentally lose them.

There will be no new content this week in Runescape due to a game jam, but the team explained which week 3 of the new New start worlds will be like, and plan something new for next week.

Some time ago the Runescape The team announced that sometimes the developers would have free time to devote to passion projects. This week there will be no changes to the game due to a game jam, but these game jams have occasionally resulted in significant additions or improvements. One of the most recent examples is the visual upgrade for free play zones which was posted several weeks ago.

While the team isn’t making any content changes this week, they’re already teasing a preview of some new content coming later this week and slated for release next Monday. There are no details yet, but we will all know soon.

As for the Fresh Start worlds, there is a change in the XP boost. The XP boost in Fresh Start will actually be split into two types. Those skills below level 70 will level up faster. While all skills get increased XP rates, those under 70 will get a 75% boost, while those over 70 will get a 50% bonus. Other boosts for the week include a 50% accuracy boost and Tier 2 auras unlocked.

Next week’s Fresh Start XP changes haven’t been revealed in full yet, but the two-tier skills per level bonus will continue. We can expect the first additional skill boost for over 70s as well as ongoing additional bonuses for those under 70. There will also be other bonuses.

Today, October 10, is World Mental Health Day and the team has created a special charity pack with special items, as well as the option to donate to the campaign for 50 RuneCoins in exchange for a new title, The Benevolent.

Following the recent fresh start server launch in Runescape, Old School RuneScape will release its own on October 19.

With the promise of a new world and the economy of completely clean slate, the option to bring Fresh Start to Old School RuneScape logic.

Starting new is an opportunity to play in the game you know, but with this opportunity you have a new economy and high scores. Fresh Start will have significant differences here than on Runescape. First of all, these Fresh Start servers will not have accelerated progress bonuses. No XP increase or drop rate increase, and there will be no Ironman mode. Since the team is targeting this on new players, they wanted keep it simple but fresh. Fresh Start worlds will also be free.

Fresh Start worlds will receive the same updates as the main game, so it will be fair with a new economy and high scores to make players feel like they’re not years behind everyone else. And it could also give you the opportunity to introduce the game to your friends without overwhelming them. The team is also preparing a set of exclusive Fresh Start achievements as a guidance system for new players trying things out.

After six months, these worlds will close and all of your progress will automatically carry over to the main game. All of your items will go with you, quest points, skill levels, and scores you may have earned. You will also have the chance to try for world premieres before your transfer.

This option will be available from the 19th on an opt-in basis.

Learn more about the Old School RuneScape Fresh Start worlds, including details on their achievements, startup, features, and what things will look like after six months, read the ad here.

RuneScape, the popular MMORPG created by the lovely Brits at Jagex, has received its New starting worlds today, allowing players to jump in and start from scratch with a reset economy and all the unique quirks that aspect offers. Old School RuneScape players won’t have to wait too long either, as Fresh Start Worlds for that title is also due out on October 19.

The reasons to grind a new character again? These Fresh Start worlds come with unique cosmetic rewards, including capes, halos, and other fancy gear. Intended to last for a limited time, characters and loot obtained on these Fresh Start worlds will then transfer to a base world with all of their belongings. Excellent news for those who devote time to it, but also a source of concern. We will come back to this later.

Check out the Fresh Start servers trailer yourself?

To access these Fresh Start worlds, players will need to create a brand new account and purchase a new membership as per the official support site. This is not a burden for new players, who will be able to use these new servers as an opportunity to enter at the same level as others, but for existing RuneScape fans it will mean cashing in a second subscription alongside their account. pre-existing.

Once you’re there, accelerated XP and gameplay boosts are available to push you towards the content you want to prioritize. You’ll also want to come up with a game plan, as a brand new high score table is here alongside Fresh Start Worlds so the most dedicated players can earn exclusive accolades.

But let’s take a moment and think about the wider implications for RuneScape as a result of these servers. I like cool servers. This recently brought me back to Classic WoW, and I think it gives players an opportunity to go back or take their first dip in a long-running live-service title they think they missed the mark on. However, some of RuneScape’s intricacies have me scratching my head.

First, it’s worth noting that the totally new economy and Grand Exchange can be a blessing and a curse, thanks in large part to the eventual migration of characters to the main worlds. On new servers, prices are usually high simply due to economic supply and demand. If you’re one of the few players on the server who can acquire shiny endgame gear, you can sell it for an inflated price.

It’s entirely possible that money-minded gamers will use the new servers to rush to some key pieces of content, mine high-end hardware, sell it for high prices, and then sit on that newfound wealth. until they are transported to the main servers. Either that or they could come with an inventory full of valuables, blowing up the supply and dropping the usual price.

Plus, it’s hard not to feel sorrow for those pre-existing players who want to get started but will need to sign up for a new subscription. Of course, new content costs money, and there’s nothing wrong with charging for new servers. However, three whole months of real money for a world doomed to be folded into the main? Something about this rubs me the wrong way, personally.

Some of these prizes will be terribly sought after…

This also raises the question of who the new servers are for. In my mind, and according to the Cool World FAQ, new servers, and the new economies they create are a boon for green, who wants to test the game before markets and players have settled in, and experience a bustling world. However, high score tables, transferable exclusive cosmetics (many of which are likely tradable), all play into what an already invested player would want. There seems to be plenty to entice older players to jump into, which is of course good for Jagex, but potentially hard on their wallets and the in-game wallets of much of the community.

So it seems like a fun idea, but with some finer, head-scratching dots tucked inside. The full impact this will have on the wider RuneScape experience and economy is something the community will have to wait and watch. Either way, now’s probably a great time to get into RuneScape if you haven’t already, and if you’ve got some cash to spare, this could be a great way to make some candy if you’ve already immersed yourself in the MMO.

But what do you think? Are these concerns a little too dramatic? Or are you really worried about the consequences of Fresh Server character transfers? Let us know below!
